VANS OTW - Slip-On 98 & Authentic 44

Nepenthes New York presents the Premium Slip-On 98 and Premium Authentic 44, Vans' OTW collection. OTW embodies a renewed focus for Vans, blending innovative design with inspiration from the brand's rich heritage and the pioneers of skateboarding, reaffirming the "Off The Wall" mindset.

The Premium Slip-On 98, released in 1979, quickly gained popularity among BMX riders and skaters in Southern California. It became a symbol of rebellion, independence, and youth, and solidified its place in fashion, music, and film.

The Premium Authentic 44, embraced by skaters in the '70s for its legendary durability and patterned outsole, offers enhanced grip and board control.

These models are crafted from 8 oz. canvas and feature a full grain leather collar lining and a woven flag label. The shoes’ higher sidewall include a gloss finish and foxing tape with original '90s Osnaburg reinforcement. Inside, the Sola Foam All-Day-Comfort (ADC) insole, made with 30% bio-based material, provides anti-fatigue properties for long-lasting comfort.
