[NOW IN STOCK] THE CHICAGO LIGHTHOUSE - SPECIAL ORDER WALL CLOCK

Founded in 1906, The Chicago Lighthouse (TCL) is an organization dedicated to providing vision rehabilitation services, education, employment opportunities and assistive technology to the blind, visually impaired, disabled and Veteran communities.
In 1977, under a government program designed to increase employment of the visually impaired, TCL began manufacturing wall clocks, primarily for use in US government facilities. Each clock is handmade by a person who is legally blind at the organization’s Chicago manufacturing facility.
Inspired by the clocks’ compelling story and quintessential American look, Nepenthes NY asked TCL to produce a custom series of wall clocks.
These special order items feature the Nepenthes NY logo and operate with atomic radio control. Tapping into the 60 kHz longwave radio signal broadcast from the National Institute of Standards in Fort Collins, CO., the clock’s time is set automatically, even correcting for daylight savings.
The Chicago Lighthouse x Nepenthes NY wall clocks are available for purchase online and in-store.
