Finding the right bag is a delicate process. It needs to have the right shape, capacity, and material - needs that vary depending on the individual. 

Working as a buyer for over two decades, Engineered Garments designer Daiki travelled through America, familiarizing himself with bags produced by a range of companies and factories, testing each one for its utility and practicality. Today, Engineered Garments produces a number of bags, including the Shoulder Pouch and Carry All Tote - but none are as versatile as the UL 3 Way Bag.

In the early 1990’s, Daiki attended the Outdoor Retailers show, a large expo for manufacturers of camping, fishing, and hiking gear to showcase their latest products. Tucked outside the main pavilion Daiki stumbled upon a small booth promoting lightweight bags. Struck by both their cutting edge technology and domestic manufacturing, Daiki began to produce bags with them - a relationship that has lasted for 30 years.  

The UL stands for “ultralight”, and as the name suggests, this bag is ary and lightweight. Printed on custom fabric made specially for the Engineered Garments Spring Summer 2022 collection or high tech E2 Ripstop, the bag can be used as a handbag, shoulder bag, or backpack. With a range of pockets and abundant carrying space, the UL 3 Way Bag can adapt to nearly any situation. Plus, the lightweight design means it won’t weigh you down on the go.
