Designer Nicole McLaughlin has gained a substantial following for do-it-yourself approach to crafting and designs. After her tenure at Reebok, she embarked on collaborations with various footwear brands, producing distinctive projects in partnership with names like Vault by Vans, Diemme, and more. Her latest venture involves a creative partnership with HOKA, unveiling a fresh iteration of their silhouette, the MAFATE THREE2.

The MAFATE THREE2 is a fusion of the MAFATE 2 and MAFATE 3 models, revitalizing them with an urban-ready appearance featuring a convenient quick-lace system and a durable Vibram sole unit. McLaughlin adds a gaiter to this style, elevating its collar to transform it into a high-top design. The gaiter - predominantly black with red and neon green stitching as accents - features HOKA and Nicole McLaughlin branding. Beneath the gaiter, the shoe's upper features dramatic shades of gray and yellow, with black and white lines spanning across the footwear.
