Unlikely: Pop-up at Nepenthes New York
Nepenthes New York will host a pop-up store for Unlikely starting on November 7. Known for reinterpreting classic elements and icons found across various American uniform categories, Unlikely offers a lineup filled with character—items that feel both familiar and refreshingly new. At this event, Unlikely's 2024 Fall/Winter collection will make its U.S. debut. In addition to the collection, limited-edition souvenir items created exclusively for this occasion in collaboration with Nepenthes will also be available. Established in Tokyo in 2023 by Creative Director Shinsuke Nakata, UNLIKELY embodies the spirit of its name—“improbable and unexpected”—through products infused with a playful, contrarian edge. Drawing inspiration from American uniforms, UNLIKELY deconstructs and reconstructs various functional elements, traversing different eras to create a contemporary, reimagined aesthetic.
