At six months old I was swept away from Japan; my mother, sister, and I were bound on a plane to Jamaica, where my father was waiting for us. I spent the first 7 years of my life in Kingston, then our family was uprooted once again, this time to the Big Island of Hawai’i. From 2000-2004 I attended college in Portland, Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, Minor in East Asian Studies.
Upon graduating I felt an urge to return to my homeland, and taught English in Tokyo for 2 years. In 2006 I moved to New York starting my career as an intern at Management Artists (MAO) and Tom Munro Studios.
