FW23 - SPECIAL RELEASE
This season, Engineered Garments designer Daiki Suzuki reimagines two iconic designs from Pilgrim Surf Supply, the Williamsburg-based surf shop. Now available in-store and online at nepenthesny.com.
The Russel Zip Parka draws inspiration from the club jackets worn in Southern California surf clubs during the 1960s. Crafted from dense Ventile twill, this parka boasts an array of zip and Velcro pockets for extra storage and a signature Engineered Garments collar tab. It retains classic Russel features, including elasticated cuffs and a drawstring at the hem, ensuring both style and functionality.
The Salathe Pant comes from the corduroy knickers donned by the pioneering climbers exploring Yosemite during the 1950s and 60s. In addition to the robust Ventile twill, Daiki adds a series of utility pockets for practical portage. It also incorporates traditional Salathe Pant elements, such as an elastic waistband with a webbing belt and a dropped crotch with a gusset for added comfort and functionality.
