NNY x NWC Military Watch - Mil-06 “W10” - Releasing 10.21.22

Introducing the Mil-06 "W10" type-Nepenthes NY, a special collaboration product by Naval Watch Co. (N.W.C.) and Nepenthes New York. Started in Switzerland during the 1800s, N.W.C. offers a modern update of military watches crafted to mil-spec standards. Customized according to the specifications of Nepenthes New York, this item will be available on Friday, October 21st, in-store and online. 

This watch sources inspiration from the British Army "W10," which debuted in 1967 and was one of the last British-made watches issued for the country's armed forces. Like many field watches, it was designed to be precise, easily legible, and painted with a lume for readability in the dark.

Produced in Japan, N.W.C. faithfully manufactured the Mil-06 "W10" type-Nepenthes NY according to the Mil-Spec of the time. The watch features a comfortable 38mm width and has an 18mm Nato nylon band. The case and back are made of 316L stainless steel, and the dial window is reproduced as an acrylic dome for an antique feel. The watch's hour and minute hands and hour markers are painted with "LumiNova (R)" paint - a coating only permitted on Swiss-made watches.

For high accuracy and functionality, an advanced Japanese automatic self-winding Caliber NH35 3 hands movement is found on the inside. The waterproof rating of 5 ATM allows for daily work with water.

For this collaboration, Nepenthes New York requested a customized dial design, resulting in a practical white 3-6-9 array for instant readability, with white second markers and numerals in 5-second intervals applied to the dial edge in the event precision timekeeping is needed. Available in Black and a dark Navy, both of these dials feature matte finishing. The case back features "Nepenthes New York" engraved and its limited edition number. 

Nepenthes will release just 100 pieces of the Mil-06 "W10" type-Nepenthes NY via their stores in Japan, New York, and London.
