Engineered Garments X Blue In Green X Nepenthes New York

Introducing the second collaboration between Engineered Garments, Blue in Green, and Nepenthes New York. This spring/summer collection, imbued with Daiki Suzuki's design touches features a Mesh Parka, Short-Sleeve Cargo Shirt, and Bontan Shorts.

The Mesh Parka is a bold new addition to the Engineered Garments lineup - a jacket/coat hybrid, utilizing sheerness in a way not previously explored in our collections. It can be worn at its standard length or extended into a long coat by releasing the concealed interior snaps. Designed for versatility, it layers effortlessly over a T-shirt and can be worn even at the height of summer. The degree of transparency differs by color, citing exploration of fabric and hue. Not only visually striking but also practical, the Mesh Parka is ideal for warm climates, outdoor gatherings, or mosquito-prone environments.

The Short-Sleeve Cargo Shirts design is rooted in utilitarian workwear and outdoor apparel. In the 1920's, it was embraced by tennis players for its freedom of movement, eventually evolving to include multiple practical pockets. Despite stylistic changes, the shirt’s functionality through thoughtfully placed pockets, remains intact. At Engineered Garments we’ve reimagined this staple, yet again, with our brand’s heritage and a modern sensibility. Slightly oversized, it layers easily over long sleeves and pairs effortlessly with wide-fitting shorts. Constructed in soft cotton poplin, it delivers a relaxed fit that ensures breathability and comfort during the hottest days of summer.

The Bontan Shorts, as many already know, are a cropped interpretation of our signature Bontan Pants. Preserving the original’s double pleats, voluminous thigh, and generous rise, they offer comfort and structure, making them a summer staple. Fabric options include lightweight tropical wool in charcoal and dark navy, and cotton high count twill in khaki. Fabrics core to our dna ensure each style pairs seamlessly with casual and more tailored staples, like our Bedford jacket or Loiter Jacket, bridging the gap between easy-going and refined styling.
